Volume 4, Page 2: A Multitude of Faiths
Beyond the city walls, humanity’s devotion became more fractured. The human Draconians, though loyal to the teachings of the dragons, often directed their prayers to Malphegor, a lesser-known yet revered figure in the Draconian pantheon. His teachings were gentler, rooted in balance and survival rather than pure chaos.
Yet humanity, as ever, clung to its old ways. Outside the Draconian faith, a remnant of their ancestral religions remained. Among these, a surviving sect of the Abrahamic faith emerged—a belief that angels, celestial protectors of light, shielded mortals from the predations of creatures lurking in the shadows. Though considered a minority belief, its adherents could be found scattered throughout Pandora, often in secretive worship.
This delicate dance of faiths gave the city its unique character. Temples to Mor'il towered high, their spires glinting in the blood-red sky, but in the hidden corners of the villages, shrines to ancestral gods and Archfiends flickered with humble devotion.
