By day, Pandora City was bathed in an unsettling crimson light, the sky perpetually blood red, as though the heavens themselves bled for the sins of the world below. Dragons wheeled high above the jagged skyline, their mournful cries cutting through the oppressive silence. At night, the city transformed. Thunder rolled over the mountains, and torrential rain lashed the streets, rendering the already desolate world into a shrouded, impenetrable gloom.

The night belonged to the Revenants and the other creatures of darkness. Humans, the primary commodity of the city, huddled behind barred windows and bolted doors, hoping in vain that the monsters stalking the shadows would overlook them for another night.
